Good points, but you really need to turn the breaker off to the indoor unit as well as the outdoor unit when washing the condenser coil. Watch how this guy is washing the condenser coils with the disconnect box open which is a good way to get shocked.

I think in this economy it’s definitely important to know how to keep your air conditioner up to par. We all need to try to keep costs down, including electric bills. Thanks for the tips about cleaning the coils!
